I photograph families in their homes (full or half “Day In The Life” documentary style story sessions) and provide them with fully edited digital files on designer USB.
Here’s what I’m NOT:
- A lifestyle photographer (if you want posed shots in perfectly styled homes for pretty magazine spreads, please head elsewhere)
- A studio photographer (if you want stark backdrops and lots of photoshop, ditto)
What I do is rock up, hang out and laugh with your family for a full or half day of regular, ordinary, everyday life. There’s no posing, no directing and best of all, no pressure.
But let me guess, “you’re not that interesting” (I hear this all the time). OMG – YOU ARE COMPLETLEY FASCINATING!!
If your house is dark and messy, I’m in complete heaven searching for interesting light.
If your kids are losing their marbles, I’m secretly hoping the tantrum will go nuclear (love me some raw emotion)!!
In a nutshell, I take your everyday and extract moments, expressions, gesture and interactions that might otherwise go undocumented.
And YES I know you all have smartphones but how often are you actually IN the photos you’re taking? Not often – I’m willing to bet.
I read Gretchen Rubin’s, The Happiness Project recently and loved her quote, “The days are long but the years are short”. So true!!
No excuses, let’s do this!!
